I am a current TMCA Credentialed Mediator since 2016 and am committed to standards of training, experience and pursuit of continuing education in the practice of mediation. In 2009 I completed a Master’s degree in Conflict Transformation, providing a broad theoretical underpinning to my work on conflict.
My career has primarily been with non-profit organizations especially in adult workforce education, providing a listening ear and guidance for thousands of individuals from all walks of life including providing job skills training in the Travis County Jail.
I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Austin Mediators Association (AMA) since 2019, an AMA Qualified Mediator, Credentialed Mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association and a member of the Texas Association of Mediators. As a volunteer mediator at the Austin Dispute Resolution Center I participate in designing and delivering ongoing refresher training to other volunteer mediators.
In 2007, while in graduate school, I completed two certificate courses in basic mediation from the Social Justice Mediation Institute and the Brattleboro Restorative Justice Center. In total I have completed over 200 hours of training in dispute resolution through the Association for Conflict Resolution, Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, Austin Mediators Association and Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center. In 2019 I completed the 30-hour course in Advanced Family Mediation at the Dispute Resolution Center in Austin.
